Partner Housing Australasia (Building) Incorporated has
provided sixteen affordable “house and land” packages to needy families in the
Western Sydney region over a 20 year period.[1]
Our service has included purchase of suitable land, development,
house design, and building work; using a combination of volunteer labour and
subcontractors.
Our organisation has provided our partner families with long-term
interest-free mortgages, to assist their aspirations to home ownership. While
eleven of our partner families have completed their purchases, we continue a
nurturing relationship with the five most recent partner families, who remain as
our clients.
During 2006, we provided professional assistance to Habitat
for Humanity Australia for the construction of a new home for their client
family at St Helens Park.
Over many years, we have supported our sister
organisation, Partner Housing Australasia (Regional) Incorporated, with professional
engineering services and practical hands-on volunteer building for five houses
constructed in the Campbelltown area.
We remain committed to the provision of professional
design and construction services, on a pro-bono basis, to other Non-Government
Organisations servicing the housing needs in Australia and overseas.
